Is it just me or does Paris seem like the most intellectual city in the world? I mean, just walking one block and you will come across tons of little independent book stores, selling strictly philosophical, historical, and literary works. No self-help books, no Abs diet, no Miley Cyrus memoir. How do those book stores survive? I guess there are enough people in Paris who support them, which means that Parisians are a whole lot more intellectual than we are.
